Dear Future "Club Presidents",
School has only just begun, yet the number of school clubs has exploded. Juniors who wished to put the prestigious position of "President" on their resumes right before college applications start next year barreled in to receive an application for a new club they wished to conceive. Don't get me wrong, school clubs are great - you are able to meet new people and participate in activities you enjoy, but does half of the junior class really need to start their own club? A new club that isn't at all needed because there are enough charitable organizations at our school? Do you really, ACTUALLY need to start that new club so that you will be able to have 5 actual club members and 50 Facebook group members but then lie about about it on your college application? Really?? With 78 clubs, we already support everyone from UNICEF and Red Cross to our very own "sister school" in Mexico. Not only that, we've sent numerous books to kids all over the world, sponsor African children's education and raise money for kids with cancer. Is a Doctors Without Borders Club really what we need when we have Red Cross already? It's a wonderful organization, but a key point on the club application says, "Check to make sure your club does not mirror any of our current clubs" meaning: WE DON'T NEED ALL THESE NEW CLUBS. Not only does our school have clubs, we've had at least two official NPOs that will cease to exist after high school.
It really is so shocking how everyone wants to start their club junior year, I have no idea why they're all sprouting up now when everyone's at their absolute busiest! Maybe because the best way to go is give yourself more work (that you won't do) when you're already sleeping at 2 AM everyday? My co-presidents did the exact same thing to me last year and I had to deal with all the stuff they didn't do. Trust me, you and your club will not be successful if you're running some random thing you don't care about because no one else will care either :)
No one gives a fuck about your new club and tutoring kids at some new place that just opened up. It's 45 minutes away and no one has the time except you. No one will sign up for your shit club and you can't be the president if you're the only person in that club. You don't have a single cell in your body that actually cares about kids because you always treat your younger siblings like trash and that makes your intentions really clear. You're busy enough with your studies and hoe activities, so please return to them instead of pretending to help kids and wasting your time. If you were a good person and people liked you, you'd be able to run for office in a club instead of appointing yourself.
Thank you very much,
